I followed up my first game jam experience with a trip to the Berlin leg of the Global Game Jam, a world wide jam with upwards of 11,000 participants. I wore two hats at this event, attempting to film the process while also being part of one of the game jam teams. This plan more or less worked out, though fortunately for me and my team, my skill set wasn’t too integral to the final game itself.
It was an exhausting yet rewarding experience, full of triumph, agony and a bone chilling cold temperatures that were more than likely straight from Siberia. The best part about it, though was to witness first hand the way strangers and friends alike can come together and accomplish a goal that seems so out of touch.
