Night Moves Issue 4: Leaders of Gamers
Nothing allows you to learn by failure more than video games, but it makes you wonder how some of us would really fair in extreme circumstances? Well, it makes you wonder about other people at least, not necessarily us. We here at Horrible Night would most likely trip and fall on our face on our way to the extreme circumstance. It’s a miracle any of us learned to ride a bike, really.
We’ve been having a damn good time livestreaming of our gaming sessions and interacting with those of you have made it into chat or joined in the game itself. If you haven’t been able to make it or even if you have, we post highlight videos (depending on your perspective) multiple times a week. Subscribe to see reality crush our gaming skills time and time again and let us know if we found your favorite moment. Your suggestion could be our next clip or maybe even feature some of your own skills.
PlanetSide 2 – Galaxy Flying Lesson
During our first Horrible Game Night of the year, we invited the community to come game with us and take over continents in PlanetSide 2. The problem taking over continents though, as Coop found out, is that first step of landing on the continent.
Far Cry 3 – Sticks the landing
Now I pride myself on my idiocty while playing Far Cry 3, but I can honestly say when I jumped onto this particular hang glider, I was actually trying to use it as intended. I just didn’t see that tree. Once I started tumbling down a cliff to my inevitable death I naturally tried to do whatever I could to stay alive even if the only option involved stabbing myself with a giant needle while falling at extreme speeds.
Elevator: Source – It’s for you
Another classic from the archives, Josh introduced Ethan and to the Half-Life 2/Garry’s Mod mod – Elevator: Source. A journey up an elevator that opens to one of a random set of floors. We had no idea what to expect. Things got weird, things got a little too cute, and things got dumb. They never got scary enough to justify all of our screaming though.
