3DS Drops to $150 at Gamestop through Feb 12

3DS Drops to $150 at Gamestop through Feb 12

Gamestop is dropping the price of the Nintendo 3DS from $170 to $150 until the 12th of this month, in advance of the US Playstation Vita launch. Video Game Writers reports that the promotion was initiated by Nintendo, which is why the price drop is only temporary. This shot across Sony’s bow coincides with the February 10th release of the Pearl Pink 3DS. With this week’s release of Resident Evil Revelations and the upcoming MGS 3D Snake Eater, I’m going [...]

Games of February Do Not Care About Fall Releases

We hope you’ve gotten your fill of 2011 games because the games of 2012 are ready to take over starting this month. The major titles are surprisingly dark for the month of love, but we’re ok with that and have compiled a list of the titles we are looking forward to the most. Past the release list you’ll find a variety of opinions of the games we will be playing: Week of Jan 30 Double Fine Happy Action Theater – [...]

Bad Box Art Mega Man Included as Street Fighter X Tekken PS3/Vita Exclusive Character

Capcom just increased the crazy on Street Fighter X Tekken, a game that has enough selling points in its title alone. Capcom has revealed 2 additional exclusive characters for the PS3 and Vita versions of the game, one of which is Mega Man, but not just any Mega Man, we get the bizarre Mega Man from the U.S. box art of the very first game! I’m still not sure what to make of it, but I will say that the [...]

Proprietary Gaming Staring Death in the Face?

The 3DS is making a resurgence (or first-surgence depending on who you talk to). The PS Vita is going to release to North America on February 22, 2012, and there are people already claiming how the PS Vita will “die a horrible premature death.” Well, that’s just not good news when you’re launching a new…anything. The theory behind PS Vita’s supposed short life is also expanding to consoles in general. In an interview with VideoGamer.com, Bossa Studios‘ Henrique Olifiers claims [...]

Handheld Temptations: 3DS and Vita

I haven’t owned a handheld since the Nintendo DS Lite was first released. I got the white one along with New Super Mario Bros. A few games purchased here and there and soon enough I was trading the system in. I just lost any interest I may have once had in the platform. I’ve never owned a PSP and have had no desire to play the games released on the system. Yet the 3DS and Vita are starting to tug [...]

Shiniest Objects: Well Get Off Your Ass Then

TGS took over Japan and a majority of the preview articles around the industry ill-fittingly capped off by a lackluster 3DS event and more PlayStation Vita details. Leading Justin finally put his confused thoughts about Nintendo together while monsters take over the rest of the Horrible Night. Every day we are on the look out for the most interesting news items in the gaming industry. Some make it on the site as headlines, and the articles that just miss the [...]
